 The Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes, Jr. welcomes you to the website for "Healing of the Nations Foundation." This ministry draws its inspiration from the last chapter in the book of Revelation (Rev:22) There is a description of the tree of life bearing fruit every month. The image, which is the symbol of our work, is drawn from these words; "and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations." (Rev 22:2) It is our mission to invite the citizens of this country to become leaves of healing. An individual cannot address all the problems of our time. But, each of us can be a leaf. To be a leaf is to make a commitment to be an instrument of healing in some particular situation in need of health, healing, balance, and wholeness. In addition to calling for commitments to the work of healing, we will provide encouragement, information and insight regarding ways to find strength, connections to other healers, and resource materials for the individual and collective efforts to address the many forms of brokenness, alienation, fragmentation and disease in our homes, communities, nation and around the globe. We will offer support for various projects of healing and from time to time, and we will sponsor festivals of healing and restoration. |
